For the second year running KaMYM Trust awardees performed at Sutton Valence Choral
Society’s Christmas concert. This year there were two young soloists, Emilis Staniukniene
who played the trumpet and Annika Cheung who played the harp. Both did themselves proud!
After the concert SVCS posted, “To the soloists Anneke and Emilis – we were all wowed!!” It was the first time Emilis had done something like this. He said:
“I really appreciate the incredible opportunity you have given me, for believing in my potential and supporting my trumpet playing……. It was an experience of a lifetime and I’m ever so grateful."
Anneke, is already well on the way to becoming an accomplished musician and has performed before. After the event her school posted:
“A huge well done to Annika who played the harp beautifully and represented SST (the school) with great pride. Well done Annika on a wonderful performance!”
